Maria Zinovyeva is a Senior Associate at Brevia. She specializes in international arbitration and complex cross-border litigation. Maria’s experience includes proceedings before foreign courts (including arbitration-related matters and a multibillion corporate dispute related to the management of a major Russian mining company), international arbitral tribunals, the Court of Justice of the European Union and the ECtHR.
Maria has first-hand knowledge of the many arbitration related laws having participated in the drafting and implementation of respective legislation.
Maria advised private and corporate clients on contentious and sanction matters. Inter alia, she advised on annulment proceedings before the Court of Justice of the European Union, as well as various regulatory matters related to the underlying sanctions. Maria also has a wealth of experience preparing and implementing compliance strategies for business UBOs and corporations across various jurisdictions.
Prior to joining Brevia, Maria worked in a leading CIS law firm and in the Russian Ministry of Justice.
